A monohull is perfect for people who already have knowledge of sailing and navigation techniques, love touring and non-motorized navigation, and like to feel the sensations of the wind.
They are ideal for single families or groups of friends, at least partly experienced in sailing.
Our previous business-sailing activity DNK and professional experience is hardly connected with one of most famous sailing monohulls producers, French sailing monohull producer, shipyard Beneteau.
So, we had honour to sail and offer both of their ranges actually built for a bit divided purposes, leasure and comfort as Beneteau Oceanis range, more sporty Beneteau First range boats which are able to give more performing feeling of sailing , still with enough capacity for leisure , during non-sailing time on board.
Exactly from season 2025 we are starting to offer from ACI marina Split city two very modern smaller Firsts 27 monohulls adjusted for shorthand sailing with max 3-4 passenger on bord in daily trip group , pls find more on Day sailing – Adria Tales.
For more demanded group of sailors, which are requesting longer stay on bord even out of season we start to offer cabin charter sailings on our new Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 named Ultra Spirit from ACI marina Split (link) . Ultra Spirit have 4 guests cabins with separate head/shower area , plus skipper/crew accommodation , generator , sollar cells , aircondition , heating and watermaker on board.
Ultra Spirit is also equipped with higher but more strenght 3 spreader mast supported by real First range deck gear and detailed wardrobe of different sails on bord.
All mentioned is offering lot of independence and max sailing performances from light breeze to stormy condition which could occur sometime out of season even on Adriatic.
Monohull
A catamaran is a twin-hull boat with two equally-sized hulls placed side by side. It is powered by sails, engines or both—and they’re known for efficiency and speed.
Catamarans are the most common kind of multihull boat.
A major advantage of catamarans is their minimal draft which allows them to anchor in shallow areas, nice bays or everywhere where we could search for some interesting spots . It has more space as the boat has a wide beam.
Also, they do not heel more than 10-12 degrees so make it a good choice for people who suffer from seasickness.
As per its higher space, it is a perfect choice for spacious comfort on bord for smaller groups demanding for luxury or even enough space for everyone in larger group of crew. Families with children who prefer easy and safe sailing even on long cruising are using catamarans, nicknamed Cat boats .
There are presently only few industrially produced catamarans brands used in commercial charter activities , usually such boats are compromise from bit of sailing and much more living on bord as boat weight fulfilled with all household equipment in basic production tehnology have impact on catamaran sailing performances much more then on monohulls . By such production way such boats are partly loosing sailing boats primary targets to sails and navigate by their own sails.
There are very also very rare catamaran producers which can offer luxury of cruising catamaran but also thankfully to their focus on technology are able to reduce a bit of weight on their boats gives more performing and more safe sailing characteristics .
One of the oldest producer between such more dedicated boats are French shipyard Nautitech, which production is existing now for more than 40 years on French Atlantic costs, where their boats are famous for heading west in even long globe-turn cruising with their owning families as crew.
Because of Nautitech boats symbiosis between luxury and performance we decided to offer new model of Nautitech 44 named Double Memory as our primary boat to sail with.
